Collgar Renewables is pleased to announce that Collgar Wind Farm has been named one of the Sector Leaders by GRESB for its sustainability leadership in 2024. This is the fourth consecutive year that Collgar Wind Farm has received this accolade, establishing its position as an industry leader in ESG management and performance on a global scale.
The GRESB Infrastructure Assessment is an annual benchmarking of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) management and performance of infrastructure assets around the world. The results provide insights and clarity to financial markets on complex sustainability matters.
“This is a fantastic achievement and a great outcome to be once again recognised as a global sector leader for the 2024 assessment year” said Sam Pearce, Collgar Renewables’ CEO. “This recognition highlights the great work we are doing in our approach to ESG at Collgar Wind Farm and our success in maintaining this leadership.”
“As we look to broaden our energy portfolio, the team are focused on delivering sustainable and lasting benefits to the communities within which we operate. This recognition is possible thanks to the hard work by the team at Collgar Renewables and from the support of our Board and our shareholder, Rest” Mr Pearce added.
Leilani Weier, Rest’s General Manager, Responsible Investment & Sustainability, said: “Rest has a long-term objective to achieve a net zero carbon footprint for the fund by 2050 in order to enhance our members’ long-term financial interests. Collgar’s continued status as a GRESB Sector Leader positively contributes to our efforts to achieve this objective.”
The GRESB Sector Leader Awards recognise real estate and infrastructure companies, funds and assets that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in sustainability each year. Collgar Wind Farm participated in the Infrastructure Assessment and obtained overall Infrastructure Asset Sector Leader.
“GRESB Sector Leaders help set the pace for the industry, leading the way towards a more sustainable future. We are both proud of and encouraged by this year’s Sector Leaders for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to ESG principles and sustainability.” said Sebastien Roussotte, CEO of GRESB.
