Tandegin Wind Farm
The proposed Tandegin Wind Farm is a new renewable energy project located approximately 20km south of Merredin, WA. The project will include up to 50 wind turbines and is located directly south of the existing Collgar Wind Farm.
The project will connect to the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), which supplies electricity to the south-west of WA. The site has been selected for its strong wind resource, access to agricultural land with supportive landowners and proximity to existing transmission infrastructure.
If it proceeds, the project will generate a number of environmental, social and economic benefits for the local region, including a community benefit sharing program.
