Collgar Renewables CEO To Step Down
Collgar Renewables, one of WA’s leading renewable energy owner/ operator/ developers, has announced that its CEO of the past 2 ½ years, Sam Pearce, has recently advised of his intention to resign, for personal reasons, with effect from early 2027.
Since taking on the role in July 2024, Sam has reshaped the organisation, enabling it to achieve several key milestones over that period, including:
Securing long term offtake for our foundation asset, Collgar Wind Farm, with Newmont Corporation, for 15 years.
Building out and progressing a robust development pipeline, evidenced by the recent progress on Tandegin Wind Farm in particular.
Building Collgar’s reputation and voice into the WA energy sector, in particular in relation to the energy transition, including maintaining Collgar’s strong reputation as a voice for sustainability, as evidenced by our recognition as a Sector Leader in the International GRESB rankings over the past 4 years.
These have been achieved whilst maintaining a focus on safety and high-quality operational performance across the business.
“Sam has provided direction and drive for Collgar Renewables over a critical time in its growth. While we regret he will be leaving us, we understand his reasons and are accepting of his decision. We wish him well in his future endeavours”, the chairman of Collgar Renewables, Tony Iannello, said. “The board has commenced its search for a replacement, working in conjunction with our shareholder, Rest” he added.
Sam will continue in his role until January 31, 2027, and will work with the board and Collgar’s owner, Rest, to ensure an orderly transition.
