Merredin College - Sensory Room Upgrade

Merredin College is a K-12 school with a focus on health and wellbeing and inclusivity for vulnerable students. There has been an increase in student enrolments with specific sensory needs who require help to self-regulate and engage in classroom activities. Without a safe place to regulate their emotions, it can be challenging for staff and students and impact the learning environment.

This grant has been awarded to Merredin College to upgrade the furniture and equipment in the sensory room. The new items will be purchased with the specific needs of the students in mind and will be appropriate for all ages.

Kellerberrin & Districts Agricultural Society - 2024 Kellerberrin Show

The Kellerberrin & Districts Agricultural Society committee organise the Kellerberrin Show which is held in October each year.  This community event features entertainment, exhibitions, a side show alley and concludes with fireworks at the end of each day. The Show is a main feature for the Shire of Kellerberrin and surrounding areas, drawing in crowds from across the wheatbelt and beyond. The Show is a great community event, providing an opportunity to learn more about the community they live in and is a fantastic way to connect with each other.

This grant has been awarded to the Kellerberrin & Districts Agricultural Society to assist with the costs of the sideshow entertainment, which is a major drawcard for locals.

Well done to all of the grant recipients. The Collgar Community Fund is pleased to support these worthwhile initiatives!
